Token application:

Stratis initially developed a blockchain platform using Microsoft's .NET Core Framework, focusing on Smart Contract execution and scaling solutions. However, facing challenges in adoption and tooling availability, Stratis decided to migrate to an Ethereum-based blockchain called StratisEVM. This move opens up opportunities for access to DeFi protocols and a larger developer community. The new StratisEVM Blockchain will be PoS-based with $STRAT as the native token, aiming to enhance mass adoption by tailoring the platform for gaming and DeFi solutions.
