IDEX is the first Hybrid Liquidity DEX, combining a high-performance order book and matching engine with Automated Market Making (AMM). The platform blends the best of centralized and decentralized exchanges, with the performance and features of a traditional order book and the security and liquidity of an AMM. IDEX allows traders to get the best spreads, avoid failed transactions, and easily provide liquidity, all with the power of real limit and stop-loss orders.
The IDEX token aligns incentives between the exchange and IDEX token stakers who play a key role in the operations of IDEX. Stakers are rewarded with 50% of the trade fees for their participation. Staking nodes maintain a real-time copy of system data, such as the IDEX order book, and provide compatible REST API endpoints to the public. Nodes stake IDEX tokens as collateral. New nodes must incubate their tokens before they can receive payment for node operations. Stakers can stake directly from cold storage.
